LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Salvation Army Southern Nevada Family Services will host a pop-up food pantry Friday beginning at 9 a.m. at 2900 Palomino in Las Vegas.
The event will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Families will receive a box of non-perishable food items and can select fresh produce.

The Salvation Army will offer supportive services to help individuals register for SNAP benefits.
About 15% of residents in Southern Nevada face food insecurity due to increasing grocery prices, according to the organization. The pop-up pantry aims to assist families struggling with mid-month food shortages.
The Salvation Army is partnering with Three Square and the Department of Social Services for the event.
