LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Two people are injured after being hit by a car in the southwest valley Friday morning, police say.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road around 1:27 a.m.

Arriving officers located two pedestrians with injuries from being struck by the vehicle, and transported them to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
The driver of the vehicle remains on scene and is cooperating with an investigation.
The intersection with remain shut down until further notice.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
