LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — NV Energy is investigating multiple power outages across the valley Friday morning, affecting thousands of customers.
According to NV Energy, outages affecting anywhere from 1 customer to over 2,000 have sprung up in the east, central, south, and southwest valley. A total of 2,624 customers are affected, as of 5:45 a.m.

The largest outage in the 89102 zip code was caused by a windstorm, according to NV Energy. Clark County is currently under a Wind Advisory that is set to last until 5 p.m.
The cause of other outages have been identified as “pole-mounted equipment failures” and “transformer malfunction,” but many remain under investigation.
Many of the outages sprung up between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., and some are expected to be restored between 6:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.
