LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The city of Las Vegas is hosting a free jazz concert Friday night at Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre.

Renowned jazz vocalist Naomi Mauro takes the stage at 7 p.m. along with the Jazz Vegas Orchestra, performing big band favorites and new arrangements from local composers.

Families are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating. Pets are not allowed in the amphitheater. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The event is presented by the City of Las Vegas and the Jazz Outreach Initiative.

The city’s Rainbow Company Youth Theatre is staging the musical “Peter and the Starcatcher” at the Charleston Heights Arts Center on Brush Street. Showtimes are 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Reserved seat tickets cost $10 each.
