Organizers say every bag or can donated goes directly to local pets whose families are currently struggling to afford food. They also note that last month, shelter officials distributed over 8,400 pounds of pet food to more than 1,600 people in need.

Those who are able to help can donate pet food by purchasing items and shipping them directly through the pantry’s Amazon Wish List.

Those looking to contribute can also drop off donations in person at the shelter’s adoption lobby, located at 655 North Mojave Road.
