LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — April was a banner month at The Animal Foundation, with hundreds of pets finding new beginnings and thousands of hours of community support logged across Southern Nevada.
The organization reported 1,078 adoptions during the month. In addition, 462 animals were placed in foster homes, while 389 more left the shelter through rescue partners.
That work was powered by 348 volunteers, who collectively contributed 4,785 hours.

The foundation’s impact also extended beyond adoptions and transfers after 1,668 families received help through its pet food pantry, offering critical support to keep pets fed and at home.
Shelter officials say they’re always looking for more volunteers, donations, and foster families.
