LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Animal Foundation is hoping to play matchmaker this weekend with its special “Find Your One” adoption event on Saturday, May 16.
The event is slated to take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Animal Foundation, located at 655 N Mojave Road. With support from Credit One Bank, adoption fees will be waived for one day only for all shelter pets, which includes puppies and kittens.
Organizers say the event is a chance for potential adopters to meet a new companion, whether they’re searching for an energetic hiking partner, a laid-back couch buddy, or an affectionate best friend.
HOW TO ADOPT:
- Visit The Animal Foundation website to browse available pets
- Walk-in adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Join the virtual waitlist by scanning the QR code located on the adoption lobby door. The QR code opens at 8 am, so adopters should plan accordingly.

The Animal Foundation notes it does not place holds on pets, and current pets should not be brought to the shelter. In-shelter dog-to-dog introductions are not permitted.
All fee-waived adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines, though a $10 license fee may apply.
