RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -CARSON CITY, Nev. — An Amber Alert be issued after a child was abucted from a Carson City home.
5-year-old Amaya Meithof was reportedly taken from 2021 Lone Mountain #15 in Carson City Monday, June 1, 2026
The suspect is identified as Christopher Meithof. He is driving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Oregon license plate 576 QNU.
The last known direction of travel is southbound toward Quartz Hill, California.
The child has common allergies.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office immediately.
