LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An event that aimed to kick off the Halloween season in Las Vegas has been postponed to next year, the founder and CEO says.
According to Kelly Warnell, “HallowScreamCon” and “HallowScreamFest” have been postponed to late September next year. This year, the event was expected to be held October 1-4, according to its website.
“After 6 weeks of careful evaluation, difficult conversations and exhausting every possible avenue, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to postpone HallowScreamCon + HallowScreamFest until 2027,” a social media post announced. “This decision has not been made lightly. We truly believe taking the additional time now will allow us to create the kind of unforgettable experience our audience deserves, rather than delivering a compromised version of the vision we have spent years building.”
The social media post says a combination of global conflict, rising travel, transportation costs, and wider economic pressures impacting tourism and live events has made primary investment sources choose a 2027 rollout.
HallowScreamCon is expected for September 30 to October 3, 2027. HallowScreamFest is planned for September 30 to October 4, 2027.
