LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Two people have been arrested on child abuse charges related to a Sunday night crash that left an 8-year-old with critical injuries, according to court records.
Mark Ecott and Aubrey Lambdin are being held on four counts of felony child abuse at Clark County Detention Center in relation to the crash.
However, their relationship to the injured child remains unclear.
Jail records show that both were taken into custody on Monday, June 29.

On the night of the crash, the 8-year-old was located by first responders in the area of North Las Vegas and Lamb boulevard around 9:33 p.m., according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The child was immediately taken to University Medical Center for his injuries, which were determined to be critical.
An initial investigation revealed that the child has crossed the road outside of a marked or implied crosswalk and was hit by a 2011 Hyundai Elantra traveling north of Las Vegas Boulevard.
It is unclear if the child was alone at the time of the crash.
The driver involved in the crash remained on scene and cooperated with police. Officers say no impairment is suspected.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Ecott and Lambdin are due in court for their initial appearances on Thursday, July 2.
