LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The report of a stolen vehicle led to a barricade in Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a recovered stolen vehicle call in the area of Washington Avenue and Tonopah Drive at 2:20 p.m. The vehicle and the occupant ended up on the 2000 block of Linden Avenue.
Police reported that the occupant of the vehicle, who has an active warrant, went inside a residence and refused to surrender. LVMPD patrol officers surrounded the residence and asked people to avoid the area.
There is a heavy police presence in the area and SWAT is en route to the scene.
