LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The City of Henderson is accepting nominations for its Veterans Memorial Wall, a permanent tribute honoring service members with ties to the community.
City officials said applications are being accepted through Sept. 25, 2026, for veterans to be recognized during the city’s annual Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 7, 2026.

The wall, located next to Henderson City Hall, was dedicated on Nov. 11, 1994, and the city describes it as the only Veterans Memorial Wall in Southern Nevada.
Originally inscribed with 1,213 names, it now includes more than 1,900 veterans and soldiers, according to the city.
Eligibility generally requires that the veteran was a Henderson resident during a period of military service, officials said.
The wall honors deceased veterans who lived in Henderson before 1980, as well as Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War and Global War on Terror veterans who were Henderson residents at the time of their service, whether living or deceased.
