LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday evening after being struck by an SUV, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:08 p.m. on Aug. 2, on East Tropicana Avenue west of Koval Lane.

According to LVMPD, a 2016 Land Rover Discovery was traveling eastbound on Tropicana Avenue when a pedestrian crossed outside of a marked or implied crosswalk and entered the path of the vehicle. The front of the Land Rover struck the pedestrian, projecting him onto the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 45-year-old male, was transported by emergency medical personnel to UMC Hospital. Hospital staff determined he sustained life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene following the collision. Investigators said he did not show signs of impairment.
