LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — United Way of Southern Nevada and NV Energy are offering on-site utility bill assistance to eligible seniors at four Project REACH Senior Expos this month.
The expos connect seniors with representatives from utility providers, including NV Energy and Southwest Gas, who can assist with the application process for past-due bill assistance.
Project REACH provides financial assistance to seniors ages 62 and older with past-due utility bills. Eligible seniors may qualify for up to $300 to help cover overdue electricity, water, trash, propane, or sewer bills. Eligible seniors may also qualify for up to $400 in natural gas assistance through Southwest Gas’ Energy Share program.
Eligibility is determined at the time of application. Approval for one program does not guarantee approval for the other.
