LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman killed by a stray bullet while stopped at the intersection of East Bonanza Road and North Lamb Boulevard.
Francisco Chairez-Hernandez was identified as a suspect through the course of the investigation and arrested Aug. 15, 2026.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and discharge of a firearm at or into an occupied structure or vehicle.
Detectives from the LVMPD Major Violators Section located and arrested Chairez-Hernandez three days after the shooting. The LVMPD Homicide Section is continuing to lead the investigation.
