LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A driver sustained potentially life-threatening injuries early Sunday after a Jeep left its travel lane, crossed a center median and struck multiple fixed objects on South Eastern Avenue, north of East Eldorado Lane.
The crash was reported at approximately 3:42 a.m. on Sunday. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that a 2021 Jeep Compass was traveling northbound on Eastern Avenue when it failed to maintain its lane and struck the raised center median.
The Jeep continued over the median, crossed into southbound travel lanes, and struck the west curb of Eastern Avenue. The vehicle then continued northbound along the west sidewalk, striking several Vegas Valley Water District boxes and a large NV Energy wooden power pole.

The driver was transported to Sunrise Hospital, where treating physicians determined his injuries were potentially life-threatening. Investigators said impairment is suspected in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
