LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A local hospital system says they’ve treated their 508th e-bike/e-scooter injury of 2026 over the weekend.

In an update shared Tuesday, HCA Healthcare hospitals says the total reported injuries for 2026 have officially doubled the 254 cases reported during 2025.

Of the 508 injuries, 138 resulted in hospital admissions, including 112 adults and 26 pediatric patients. Four adult fatalities have been reported, all related to traumatic brain injury, according to the health system.

Among pediatric patients, 23.4% were wearing helmets, HCA Healthcare said.
