LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Animal Foundation is participating in Clear The Shelters, a nationwide adoption campaign running through August 31, 2026.

To celebrate the campaign’s 12th year, adoption fees will be waived for all pets in the shelter, including puppies and kittens, on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30.

Since its launch in 2015, the Clear The Shelters campaign has helped more than 1.4 million pets across the country find homes.

How to adopt

  • Visit the Animal Foundation website to browse available pets.
  • Walk-in adoptions are first-come, first-served.
  • Adopters can scan the QR code on the adoption center door to join the virtual waitlist starting at 8 a.m.

Adoption details

The Animal Foundation does not place holds on pets. Current pets should not be brought to the shelter, and in-shelter dog-to-dog introductions are not permitted.

All fee-waived adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines. A $10 license fee may apply.
