LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A fugitive who absconded from probation supervision more than 13 years ago was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on September 3, 2026, following his apprehension in North Carolina.
William Bierlein was arrested June 30, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina, by the U.S. Marshals Service Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force. Bierlein was wanted in Nevada on a probation violation warrant.

A joint fugitive investigation by the Nevada State Police Division of Parole and Probation Warrants and Extraditions Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service Nevada Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force led investigators to Bierlein in North Carolina, where he was arrested.
In December 2008, Bierlein was involved in a fatal crash. The investigation determined alcohol was a factor. Bierlein remained hospitalized following the incident and was later arrested April 28, 2009, after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
