RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Gas prices in the state of Nevada have jumped another 10 cents in the last week.
New data from AAA Nevada shows the average cost of a gallon of gas in Nevada is now $5.01 as they say volatility in the Strait of Hormuz pushes crude oil prices back in the range of $100 per barrel.
“Pump prices are currently comparable to early June of this year,” said Doug Johnson, AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson. “The state and national average are both increasing during a season when gas prices typically go down due to lower gasoline demand after Labor Day.”
The average cost of a gallon of gas in Reno is now $5.34, and $4.99 in Las Vegas.
