LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Two people were killed and a third was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday morning inside an east Las Vegas residence, authorities said.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded shortly before 10 a.m. to a report of gunfire in the 1600 block of East Rochelle Avenue, located near Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road.
Upon entering the home, officers discovered three people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency medical personnel transported the third victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The department’s homicide section has taken over the investigation. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or details regarding potential suspects or motives.
Police said a department lieutenant is expected to provide further updates during a media briefing.
