LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Hundreds of dogs made a historic splash in Southern Nevada on Sunday as Doodlepalooza 2026 secured the Guinness World Record for the most dogs attending a dog pool party.
A total of 296 dogs gathered at Cowabunga Vegas water park for the event, which was presented by sponsor We Love Doodles. An official adjudicator with Guinness World Records was on site to certify the tally, which surpassed the prior record of 276 dogs set by Chewy in Coral Gables, Florida, in May.

“Achieving this record gives us a chance to celebrate something historic while also drawing attention to the rescue work happening every day behind the scenes,” said Sheedvash Michael Zargari of Doodle Rescue USA.
Organized during National Dog Week, the gathering welcomed doodles and poodle mixes alongside their owners to swim and play across Cowabunga Canyon’s wave pool, splash pad and shallow water areas.
The event also served as a fundraiser and awareness platform for Doodle Rescue USA, a local nonprofit focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and finding permanent homes for poodle-mix breeds.
Organizers said proceeds from the gathering will directly fund veterinary care, professional grooming, foster home placements, transit, behavioral assessments and adoption programs.
“This record belongs to every dog and person who showed up for a larger purpose,” said Danielle Dunker of Doodle Rescue USA. “This gives hundreds of doodle families a chance to celebrate together while helping us raise awareness for the dogs who still need rescue, foster families and forever homes.”
