LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian is dead following a crash involving a vehicle along the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday.
The incident was reported just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29 at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Four Seasons Drive, near Russell Road.
According to police, a 46-year-old man was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 2017 Jeep Compass that failed to yield while turning left from Four Seasons Drive.

Medical personnel transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital with moderate injuries. On Wednesday, the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner notified officials that the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
At the time, the crash did not meet criteria for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section to respond, police say.
The 64-year-old driver of the Jeep remained at the collision scene, claimed no injuries, and did not show signs of impairment.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
