LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Valley Water District is responding to a water main break in the northern valley Friday morning.
The main broke around 7 a.m. near Smoke Ranch Road and Decatur Boulevard, flooding the surrounding streets. A spokesperson for the district said crews responded to the scene and shut down the pipeline.

Water service will be interrupted for 120 residential customers all within a single four-plex residential development, the district said. An emergency notification was sent to those residents to inform them of the service interruption.
District crews have isolated the leak and beginning excavation so they can assess and initiate repairs, the district added.
Water service is expected to be interrupted for 6 to 8 hours while repairs take place.
The public is advised to avoid the area.
