LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 17-year-old was arrested for the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old at First Friday in the Arts District.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department say the suspect was arrested Tuesday and was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Hall for murder with a deadly weapon and two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.

Police say the shooting happened after 10 p.m. Friday in the area of South Main Street and West Charleston Boulevard when they heard shots being fired.

Police said officers quickly ran into a crowd of people and located two people with gunshot wounds. A third victim was located by more officers arriving at the scene.

All three were taken to the hospital, and one teen died. The family identified the victim as Carth Onasi Jacobs-Rodgers.

LVMPD’s homicide section says that a fight happened between several individuals, and the suspected juvenile pointed a firearm and began shooting, striking multiple people. The juvenile fled the scene before officers could arrive.
