LAS VEGAS (FOX5) —Boulder City Police were able to pull a suspected drunk driver off the road recently in what one sergeant said is one of the highest blood alcohol content readings she’s heard of in two decades on the force.
Police said the driver left the road and drove onto a sidewalk on Nevada Way outside a gas station. The incident happened Saturday, Oct. 3, around 5:30 p.m., according to Sergeant Jen Woolsey.

A Facebook post by police showed a photo of the driver’s blood alcohol content of 0.315. The legal limit is 0.08. The sergeant said the driver told police he had been at Art in the Park. She also said she has not heard of a blood alcohol level that high in her 20 years on the force.
Police say the driver, in his mid 30’s, was arrested and Child Protective Service officials were called. It’s unclear if CPS took the child or if they were released to family.
