LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The city of Las Vegas says crews working on the Charleston Boulevard storm drain project will spend the next four weeks paving.
Commerce Street will remain closed south of Charleston during that time.
Charleston Boulevard will stay open but will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the work zone from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Detour routes
The city is urging drivers to use Oakey or Bonneville to travel east-west, and Casino Center or Las Vegas Boulevard to travel north-south.
Timeline
The city says keeping Commerce Street closed should help crews finish faster. That stretch is expected to reopen by Nov. 20.
The project, which costs nearly $49 million, is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
