LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central Clark County on Sunday afternoon.
The warning area includes Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Harry Reid International Airport.
Meteorologists warn the storm is capable of generating damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph, large hail and torrential downpours.
Officials urge residents in the affected areas to seek shelter inside a sturdy building, stay away from windows and avoid travel until the storm passes.
