Nev. (FOX5) – Shantelle Hudson, who went missing back in 1988 in Nevada, is still missing according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The center told FOX5 that they are highlighting Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Day, observed on May 5 each year. They said they are raising awareness for the girls who have gone missing within the Native, Indigenous and Tribal communities.
According to the center, Hudson disappeared on Nov. 12, 1988 from her home in Mound House, Nevada. Mound House is located northeast of Carson City. Officials say she was just 16 years old.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says she is their oldest unsolved missing person’s case. The sheriff’s office believes that Hudson was last seen leaving her home around 7:30 a.m. after an argument with her mother.
“Although there have been rumors of sightings over the years, detectives have determined that all leads have come back as misidentifications, with no activity or luck in locating the teen,” the center says.
