LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police troopers are investigating after a motorcycle rider was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Boulder Highway last week.
According to a report from NSP, troopers responded at approximately 11:04 p.m. on May 4 to a crash in the area of US95 southbound at mile marker 70, which is near the State Route 582/Boulder Highway southbound off-ramp.
The preliminary investigation indicated that a black 2014 Polaris Victory motorcycle was traveling southbound on US95 in the far-right travel lane when, for unknown reasons, the motorcycle overturned, ejecting the rider into the path of a Honda HR-V. The motorcycle rider was subsequently struck by the other vehicle.
The driver of the Honda came to a controlled stop on the southbound US95 far right travel lane, just north of SR582 southbound off-ramp. The rider of the motorcycle, Antione Renard Jackson Sr., a 52-year-old male from Buckeye, Arizona, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigating officers. The investigation is currently active and being conducted by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Southern Command M.I.R.T (Multidisciplinary Investigation & Reconstruction Team).
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 24 fatal crashes resulting in 30 fatalities thus far in 2024.
