LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Formula 1 is accepting applications for race marshals for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

According to a media release, they are seeking both experienced race marshals and people interested in becoming marshals.

The race is taking place on Nov. 21-23. Officials say they wanted to bring this new marshal program to Southern Nevada residents to bring more opportunities to get involved in the race.

The marshal program is in collaboration with U.S. Race Management. There are about 600 positions available ranging from flagging and track conditions communications to pit lane and grid marshals, the release says.

“Playing a crucial role in race safety and success, this opportunity offers a chance to join a passionate community, gain hands-on motorsport experience and contribute to the legacy of Formula 1,” officials say.

Experienced marshals could apply here while Las Vegas-area residents interested in the marshal program could register for more information here.

“We had over 1,000 seasoned marshals apply to support the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix last year,” said Silvia Bellot, VP Sporting and Race Operations at Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. “We hope to welcome back familiar faces and have new ones join us to help ensure the safety of our drivers and spectators. With the introduction of our new marshal program, our goal is to welcome even more marshals from Southern Nevada.”
