LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – You’re never too old for your senior prom! That was the sentiment behind a very special luncheon Monday afternoon.
Congregation Ner Tamid in Henderson took those 65 and older back to their school days with twinkling lights, disco music, and plenty of food and drink. There was even a photographer on hand to take promo photos.
One very special guest told FOX5, it brought back fond memories.
”I always loved the atmosphere of a prom, it’s just very exciting if you’re young. And then, when I became a high school teacher, I must have chaperoned… more than 25 proms I must have chaperoned because I taught for 40 years,” said the prom queen Jennifer Neeman.
The congregation hosts free luncheons for senior members once a month. Each has a different theme, menu, and entertainment.
Non-members are also welcome for an $18 contribution.
