LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – UNLV Athletics has announced an exciting lineup of theme games for the 2024 football season at Allegiant Stadium, including the annual Homecoming game taking place on the Nevada Day holiday.

Saturday, Sept. 7 vs. Utah Tech (Time TBD) – Las Vegas Heroes Day & 1974 Team 50th Anniversary
Presented by: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers
We kick off the season by honoring our local heroes, including first responders, healthcare workers, and educators. Special tributes and on-field recognitions will be part of the festivities. In addition, the 12-1 1974 NCAA Division II semifinalist squad will be honored on its 50th anniversary.
Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Fresno State at 12:30 p.m. – Hispanic Heritage Day & 1994 Team 30th Anniversary
Celebrate the rich and diverse Hispanic culture with us. The day will feature cultural performances, themed activities and special guest appearances to honor the contributions of the Las Vegas Hispanic community. The 1994 Big West Conference champion and Las Vegas Bowl-winning squad will be honored to celebrate the squad’s 30th anniversary.
Friday, Oct. 4 vs. Syracuse at 6 p.m. – Breast Cancer Awareness Night
Presented by: Comprehensive Cancer Centers
Join us under the lights for a game dedicated to raising awareness and support for breast cancer research and survivors. Local doctors will be recognized and the night will include a moving tribute to those affected by cancer.
Friday, Oct. 25 vs. Boise State at 7:30 p.m. – Homecoming
Presented by: Intermountain Health
Welcome back, alumni! The Homecoming football game is the culmination of a week of events on campus. Alumni recognitions will take place throughout the game with the crowning of the Homecoming Court taking place during halftime.
Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. San Diego State at 7:30 p.m. – Military Appreciation Night
Presented by: Southern Nevada Water Authority
We salute our servicemen and women during this special night dedicated to honoring the military. The UNLV band will perform a patriotic halftime show and veterans will be recognized throughout the game.
Saturday, Nov. 30 vs. UNR at 5 p.m. – 50th Battle for the Fremont Cannon
Presented by: America First Credit Union
The regular-season culminates in the historic 50th Battle for the Fremont Cannon against our rivals from the north, UNR. Fans are encouraged to wear Rebel Red as we look to keep the famed cannon trophy here in Las Vegas for the third straight season.
