LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County Fire Department said an adult and several pets were displaced after an east Las Vegas home fire.

The fire happened on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the 6000 block of Bryce Canyon Avenue. The fire turned into a second alarm response because of the growing fire conditions arriving crews observed.

The first engine arrived at 6:12 p.m. Firefighters created a defensive strategy. At 6:33 p.m., crews started to search inside the home.

Clark County was assisted by North Las Vegas and City of Las Vegas in the fire response. In total, 10 engines, 4 trucks, 4 rescues, 3 battalion chiefs, 1 air resource, 1 EMS supervisor, and 2 fire investigators responded for a total of 71 personnel.

Southwest Gas and NV Energy responded to secure utility services. Clark County Fire said the American Red Cross was requested to assist an adults and pets displaced.
