LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A local Air Force veteran says he couldn’t be more thankful after winning a new tiny home in a giveaway.

Last month, FOX5 introduced you to Edwin Santiago Colone, a veteran who served seven years in the Air Force in the early 2000s. After leaving the military, Colone shared that he had trouble coping with his trauma and hardship, experiencing several years of homelessness and time in prison.

After seeing his tiny home, Colone called the home perfect and even expressed his excitement about space for his dog.

“That was the piece to the missing puzzle because I live somewhere with so much drug activity and criminal activity that is not good for my recovery and for my PTSD and for my mental health,” Colone said.

This is the second year of the tiny home giveaway to veterans.
