LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Amazon workers in Nevada could expect a pay increase.
The online retail giant says the average base pay for employees in Nevada was increased to $21.50 an hour. This is effective immediately. Amazon says it’s an average wage increase of $1.50.
Amazon says the wage increase is part of a broader strategy to ensure competitive compensation. Officials say they are working on employee compensation across the United States.
“We are proud to contribute to Nevada’s economic vitality and remain dedicated to supporting the well-being of our employees,” Amazon says.
