LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Animal Foundation is inviting Las Vegas residents to start 2026 with a furry new family member through its “Fetch a Fresh Start” adoption event Saturday.
According to the Animal Foundation, the one-day event, sponsored by Olight, will waive adoption fees for all adoptable animals at the shelter, including puppies and kittens.
The shelter will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How to Adopt
Interested adopters can browse available pets online before arriving at the shelter. All adoptions will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Animal Foundation is implementing a virtual waitlist system to manage the expected crowd. Adopters can scan a QR code posted on the adoption center door to join the waitlist as early as 8 a.m.
Important Adoption Details
All fee-waived adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccinations. A $10 license fee may apply.
The Animal Foundation notes that it does not place holds on pets. Current pets should not be brought to the shelter, and in-shelter dog-to-dog introductions are not permitted.
