LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police have declared an anti-ICE protest in the downtown area Wednesday an “unlawful assembly.”

A flyer of an emergency protest was shared on social media titled “From LA to Vegas, ICE OUT!” It was planned for Wednesday at 7 p.m.

A FOX5 photographer was at the start of the event and observed about 50 people near Las Vegas Boulevard and Clark.

At 9 p.m., Las Vegas Metro Police said the protest is an “unlawful assembly due to protestors engaging in illegal activity.”

An order to disperse was issued by Metro and those who do not leave could face an arrest or citation.

The protest follows immigration raids in Los Angeles this week.

Los Angeles police swiftly enforced a downtown curfew Tuesday night, making arrests moments after it took effect.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
