LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – UPDATE 10:10 p.m.: Metro says the suspect has been taken into custody.

Metro is investigating a possible shooting after an argument between two adult males.

Around 4:39 p.m. the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called to shooting on Monday in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Jones Boulevard.

Police say the two males shot at each other, striking one person in the hand. The person who was shot fled the scene but was quickly located by police and then taken to the hospital and is stable.

The suspected ran from the scene and ended up in a residencial area of Upland Boulevard and Idle Avenue. The suspect wouldn’t come out of home and that’s when SWAT was called in.

LVMPD detectives, SWAT and negotiators are trying to get the suspect out of the home.

Police are advising to avoid the area as Upland and Idle are closed.
