LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Police took an armed suspect into custody after an east valley barricade.

Police said it started Friday with an incident between two people in the 3700 block of Gershen Court at 9:30 a.m. This is near Twain and Eastern. Police said one person pulled out a knife and threatened the other person.

The armed suspect went back inside a residence and would not leave after patrol officers’ commands. The incident was declared a barricade.

SWAT and crisis negotiators also responded. At 12:52 p.m., police said the suspect was taken into custody.

“This is still an ongoing investigation,” police said.
