LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An armed suspect was killed in a shootout with police officers on the Colorado River Thursday afternoon.
According to the Bullhead City Police Department, officers were called to assist Las Vegas Metro Police around 3:30 p.m. after a suspect stole a water taxi on the Colorado River in Laughlin.
The suspect would cross the river into Arizona, near the 1600 block of Highway 95 area of Bullhead City. The suspect shot in the direction of officers, who return fired and killed the suspect.
No other injuries were reported.
Bullhead City says an outside agency will be investigating to shooting, and all other details will come from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
