LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – New details shed light on a homicide that happened at Aliante Casino last week. The suspect, Aerion Warmsley, 19, took police on a valley-wide pursuit that involved three carjackings following the shooting.

The North Las Vegas Police Department responded to a shooting around 5:22 a.m. Thursday, several hours after the suspect arrived.

Investigators were able to pull security footage from the hotel showing two adult men entering the casino from the third floor of the parking garage at 1:46 a.m., court documents show.

It wouldn’t be until around 4:30 a.m. when the two individuals spoke to someone who would later fall victim to the shooting.

After an initial conversation, the two male suspects walked away and went in separate directions.

Moments later, during a second conversation between the shooting suspect and the victim, the suspect pulls a handgun from his waistline and attempts to pistol-whip the victim but misses, the report said. The victim tried to run from the suspect after a brief struggle over the handgun.

The armed suspect then discharged the handgun, shooting the victim, who has been identified as former Nevada state senator Pat Spearman’s son, Na’Onche Osborne.

The armed suspect discharged six more rounds as Osborne, 23, was lying on the ground. Based on video surveillance, the suspect fired seven rounds total, the report said. The gun had “an extended magazine.”

Warmsley then searched Osborne’s pants pockets. Police say it appears the suspect stole an unknown item from the victim’s pants.

Warmsley caught up with the other man he had originally walked into the casino with. They both fled in a Mercedes sedan, a vehicle that was stolen out of Metro’s jurisdiction, the report shows.

The suspects were involved in a crash at Spring Mountain Road and Procyon Street. The other suspect flees to an unknown area while Warmsley steals another vehicle at gunpoint.

The armed suspect would go on to lead LVMPD officers on a high-speed vehicle pursuit throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

It ended at Sahara Avenue and Boulder Highway. Warmsley was wearing the same black pants seen on video surveillance during the murder. He was transported to UMC Trauma for injuries and then booked at the North Las Vegas jail.
