Arrests made in undercover operation in Las Vegas Valley, charged with child sex crimes

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Six people were arrested as part of an undercover child sex operation in the Las Vegas Valley, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials said Wednesday.

Officials report multiple agencies, including the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), detectives, the ICAC Task Force, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, the Nevada Attorney General’s office, and local police departments.

Police identified the 6 arrested:

  • Stevie Bennard Kelly II, 34
  • Justin James Matamoros, 35
  • Brandon Michael Jarecki Ayers, 31
  • Yussell Onofre Gallardo, 38
  • Jeffrey Kelly, 51
  • Brandon Scott Fletcher, 27

Police report all suspects were booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center and face felony charges related to luring a child with a computer for a sex act.

“We would like to remind parents to discuss with their children the dangers of engaging with strangers online. Parents are encouraged to routinely monitor their children’s activity on social media and other online applications to prevent them from becoming victims of a child sex predator,” said Las Vegas metro police officials.
