LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Multiple agencies assisted the Las Vegas Fire and Rescue in responding to an apartment fire in the central valley.
According to LVFD, around 2:26 p.m., crews responded to the reports of smoke in the area of the Walker House Apartments on Valley View Blvd near Sahara Avenue.

Officials say the crews immediately began defensive containment measures, which escalated the response to a two-alarm fire.
The roof collapsed in multiple locations of the structure. Fire officials report the fire was located at the center of the apartment complex.
Multiple agencies assisted with the response. LVMPD posted on social media around 3:30 p.m., reporting officers were dispatched to assist with the active emergency.
According to fire officials, officers were helping redirect traffic as road closures were put in place. Valley View Boulevard was temporarily closed in both directions at Sahara.
One person was taken to the hospital for a separate medical emergency.
At least 35 have been displaced.
According to LVFR, American Red Cross officials have contacted those displaced by the fire.
