CHURCHILL COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – Update at 8:49 a.m.: NHP says road crews are working to get one lane open by the early afternoon, though the delay will likely last until 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
The vehicle that crashed is a milk truck, and crews are working to transfer product to another truck.
Original Article: Nevada State Police are currently investigating a fatal crash on I-80 westbound at mile marker 88 near Toulon.
Just after 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd, troopers responded to a crash, which they say involved 2 semi-trucks and an SUV. There is at least one confirmed fatality and one person who suffered life threatening injuries.
It’s unclear what caused the crash but investigators say I-80 westbound at Toulon is expected to be closed for most of the day. The frontage road is not a recommended detour
