LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Family, friends, coworkers and the downtown Las Vegas community came together Sunday to honor the life of 29-year-old Hope Ritter, who was shot and killed last weekend.

Police said Hope and a friend were sitting in a parked car near Fremont and Las Vegas Boulevard, when two men walked past and shot into the car. Hope was found shot in the head multiple times, pronounced dead at the scene.
“Every moment spent with her was great, honestly. We had fun, it was a blast,” said Hope’s coworker Maria Ledesma. “If I could have the chance to meet her again, I’ll do it again.”
A memorial and fundraiser was held Sunday at Atomic Liquors, where Hope was an employee.
She was also a mother to a 10-year-old girl.
“She was just an awesome woman, hard-working woman, very determined to improve herself all the time, and make a better future for her daughter,” said Ledesma.
All profits from Sunday’s fundraiser will go to Hope’s young daughter.
“She was a big part of the downtown community we’ve definitely seen that with the outpouring of support and love that we’ve gotten from everyone that works downtown, lives downtown,” said Andrew Mendez, General Manager of Atomic Liquors.
“I’m very proud of everyone that showed up today because it shows how the community can come together and take care of each other, and it shows how much Hope impacted downtown. Most of our regulars came often because of her,” said Ledesma. “You guys are great, and I know Hope is looking at you guys and just amazed at how much love she’s getting.”
