Attempted robbery suspect threatened shooting in central Las Vegas, police say

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police are searching for an attempted robbery suspect in central Las Vegas who threatened a clerk he’d “shoot up the place” if he didn’t receive money, police said.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department said the attempted commercial robbery happened June 9 at 6:35 p.m. at a business near the 3000 block of South Maryland Parkway, near Desert Inn Road. Police said a Black man, 20-30 years old, approached the register and demanded money or he’d “shoot up the place.”

Police also describe him as 5′10″ tall, medium build wearing a gray hat, green sweater, black shorts, black backpack and white shoes at the time of the incident.
