LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Lawyers say the only suspect facing murder charges in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur wasn’t there when the rapper was shot and killed off the strip 30 years ago.

So far, Duane “Keffe D” Davis is the only person to face charges in Tupac’s killing nearly 30 years ago.

His legal team just filed a motion to continue his trial.

According to his attorneys, new witness testimony found that Davis was not present at the scene of the shooting and not in Las Vegas at the time.

The defense attorneys also uncovered information that Reggie Wright Jr., the former head of security for Suge Knight and death row records, may have orchestrated the shooting.

Davis and his team are expected to be in court on February 25th.

His trial is expected to begin in March.

He is facing separate charges over a jailhouse fight. His next court appearance for those charges is in April.
