LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The babysitter accused of stabbing a toddler to death appeared in court Thursday morning.
41-year-old Marketta Phillips is facing an open murder charge in the death of 3-year-old Journei Ross. The toddler was found dead in her home by her father around 3:30 a.m.
Phillips was arrested after fleeing the area following the stabbing.
She will appear in court on April 1 for a status check.
