LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas headliner Barry Manilow’s residency dates are postponed as he says he is recovering from surgery.

The singer and songwriter posted to social media Wednesday. He says he’s “doing great and recovering” after his surgery.

In December, Manilow said his doctor ordered an MRI after six weeks of bronchitis and discovered a cancerous spot on Manilow’s left lung. The singer rescheduled his arena concerts in January for the expected month-long time to recover.

In a social media post, Manilow said his doctor recommends focusing on healing. His residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from Feb. 12-21 have been postponed.

“Having a few extra weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered,” Manilow said.

The post says tickets for the postponed Las Vegas dates will be refunded.
